  I wasn't very diligent about reviewing all the pictures, but if you do, please keep in mind that the children (bunk beds for 3) get the bedroom with the actual walls and the big bathroom with a shower and the adults get the bed upstairs in an open loft with no wall and a small bath with no shower. If you've got little ones, it's not a great set-up. I rent from Discover Sunriver several times per year and this is the first time I thought it was overpriced and didn't meet my expectations, even with the third night free. The house was just uncomfortable because of fact of the adults sleeping on basically a balcony with room dividers, it was very hot up there (and if we turned the heat off it was freezing downstairs), and it's a bummer not to have a close shower or any privacy. Why go on vacation if you have to sleep in a living room? I could do that at home.

  My SO and I had a great stay. The home was pleasant, and a guest we had for one night enjoyed the place as well. Though he wasn't a fan of the bed in the guest room.
  
  One suggestion: trade the deer head in for another of the nice photos or other wall hangings.

  The bed upstairs was soft and ended up shaped like a tea cup by morning. My husband and I always rolled into the middle of the mattress. Kitchen could have had more staples like salt, pepper, oil, sugar, flour, foil, sandwich bags, etc.

  We really enjoyed our stay for a honeymoon and gave us a great chance to relax and get away from it all, but still stay in touch with civilization. The place provided excellent spaces, conveniences in the kitchen, as well as a location that made it easy to access.

  First off, had a great stay in a great house, no substantial complaints. The house is just as nice as it looks in the photos, cozy and welcoming. Service at the office for check in/out was very fast and friendly, as good or better than anywhere I have ever stayed.
  
  Couple of minor quibbles:
  1. Never did get e-mail confirmation of my on-line reservation, had to call in. I will say again that the in-person service was excellent, both on the phone and at the office.
  
  2. Hot tub was over chlorinated. Badly.
  
  All in all I give this a 9.5 out of 10. We spent the drive home planning our next visit.

  We were pleased at how comfortable the house was with its decorations of quilts which added to the character of the house. Plus, it was only a 12-minute walk to the village.

  The Queen bed was uncomfortable. The living room furniture was very dusty!!!! Need to be beaten and then cleaned. Upstairs was too hot! Needs air conditioning.

  It's a wonderful house! Some friends who are Sunriver regulars stopped by and couldn't stop raving about it. My only complaint is that the beds in the downstairs bedroom are uncomfortable. I slept two nights on the sofa instead.

  This property was excellent for our family of five. We stayed here for a week and it was wonderful. A bright and cheerful house--great quilts! The large enclosed deck was nice. A few minor suggestions: the 2 bikes could use a little TLC, tightening the seats, adjusting brakes, etc., and the wireless internet router had to be unplugged and replugged in several times to re-establish a connection. Also, you can only take a shower in the downstairs bathroom, but we got used to that. Overall, a great little house. I'm guessing we will return!

  When arrived found 3 live bugs on the carpet flooring. Need to spray more often. Hot tub was a great plus. Used bathroom downstairs because the one on the second floor too small. Overall we enjoyed sunriver but found most units outdated.

    The area you stayed in was one of the first areas developed in Sunriver in the early 70's. The home you stayed in is of an earlier generation and we think it has a whole lot of character.The owners of this home take a tremendous amount of pride in the property and want to make sure it maintains its ambiance while at the same time meets the needs of todays travelers. To that end the baths and kitchen were outfitted with new counter tops and flooring in the past year. The deck was expanded and totally redone in the last 12 months as well. Perhaps you're looking for more contemporary properties? If so we can help.

  Betty and I love coming to #12 Otter Lane and always have a wonderful time. I liked the renovations that have been made to the property, such as new jacuzzi hot tub on the deck, the new dining room table and re-tiled counter-top. The bed upstairs is comfy and plenty of firewood for the wood stove. The only thing I see that is being neglected is the overall dusting of the light fixtures (cobwebs hanging all over the place) as well as the dusting of the wood venetian blinds. The toilet upstairs makes a leaky sound from the valve in the tank. This could be costing the home owner $$ in water costs as well as wasting water. One last thing concerning the lighting in the house and on the property, please consider getting energy saving light bulbs. Doing this will save on the lighting bill for the house as well as reduce demand from the power grid. P.S., the screen in the upstairs window is pulled out on the deck side of the house. P.S.S., the tree debris on the deck has potential to track into the tub if a guest walked out from the house to the tub without sandals. I hope this helps and mind you these are not complaints.

  Their was no thermostat or explanation how to regulate the heat in the overly warm house, so we were forced to open the windows. A call to the rental management office fixed this, but we feel that a binder with helpful information in the house would be a good idea. Also, the free long distance calling is a nice amenity, but I was suddenly cutoff in the middle of a conversation with virtually no warning when I used up the allotted time. Is there some way of giving warning when you have two minutes left, so that you can terminate your call gracefully?

  The deck with the hot tub was both nice and private as well as relaxing. The inside of the house is cute and cozy. Really the only negative thing would be the beds, particularily on the main floor. They were pretty hard on the back.

  Just a note. When I returned the keys after our trip I pointed out that there was no lock on the hot tub and the hot tub was over filled. Just wanted to point this out for safty reason. We still had a great time and will be seeing you in the winter.

  Loved our stay but wanted to share a couple observations: The refrigerator in this home was very loud...I actually woke up a couple times thinking someone had left the bathroom fan on, speaking of which, there WAS NO fan in the bathroom! =) Just a heater. Also, the house is pretty dark inside--could use a couple skylights. Lastly, the staff at Discover Sunriver KEPT mispelling my name, causing me to have to call 3 times to request the confirmation email be sent again-it wasn't being received because my name was consistently mispelled in the address, despite my having spelled it over the phone every time. =) That's all. Everything else was great! Thanks.
