  This beautiful townhome felt more like a modern and comfortable home away from home than the usual vacation rental. The lodge decor is unique in it's highly attractive appearance blended with a serene and comfortable ambiance that invites relaxation. For
  twelve heavenly days we flyfished on beauitful mountain streams and lakes during the mornings, came home to lunch with late afternoon wine around the hot tub, and concluded each day with our choice of dining out, barbacue on the patio, or home-made pizza in
  the well equiped kitchen. And then a good book or movie around the beautiful river rock fireplace in the evening. A thoroughly relaxing vacation that literally filled our souls with a refreshed awareness of the important values life offer's. We are already
  looking forward to a return trip next year, hope others will also be able to enjoy this exceptional opportunity.

  As soon as we walked into #16 Aquila Lodge, all of us (from my 11 year old son to my 83 year old father) said "wow, this is great." The home is very stylish yet very comfortable. It was perfect for our 3 generation family stay because we all had our own comfortable rooms to retreat to and the shared spaces were very spacious with adequate seating for all. The bunk bed room was a great kid/tween room although it might feel tight if you had teens or adults in there.
  
  We had been concerned about the lack of air conditioning but when we were there it was not a problem. It was not horribly hot (only 1 day in the 90s) and it cooled off very quickly at night with the use of fans.
  
  The only reason I didn't give the property all 5s was the location. This home is basically in the middle of Sunriver which means it's not far to anything but it wasn't particularly close to walk or bike anywhere either. It does seem though that it will be close to the new aquatic/recreation center and that could be a real plus.
  Access to Mavericks was great. Although the flowrider at Mavericks was an additional cost, it was a major highlight for our boogie boarding son.
  
  The home was wonderful and everything was very clean and in good condition. The Discover Sunriver staff were friendly and informative and the cleaning/check-out process was so easy (compared to other rentals we've stayed in in other places) that we kept re-reading the instructions to make sure it was really that easy. We would definitely visit Sunriver again and would love to stay in Aquila #16 again.

  our place was beautiful, warm, and cozy. at the same time, it was extremely fancy and had a lot of really nice features, such as the hot tub, massive fireplace, and indoor wood carvings in the stairwells. a great place to stay!

  Loved the Christmas tree lighting at the Lodge, and all the snow. What a great way to start the Christmas season. We will be back for a summer visit next time.

    The tree lighting is a special event we all look forward to. The snow has been great so far this year and we are exicited about an excellent year for skiing Mt Bachelor. We will see you when the snow melts.

  This is about our 10th year coming to Sunriver from N. Calif. We switched to this property as kids wanted Mavericks access and we used it a lot. The home has more warmth than other homes, is up-to-date, and comfortable. I usually like air conditioning and while this doesn't have it, we were lucky as weather was cooperative and I think home is well insulated. Would be nice if fans could put in reverse so warm air is not pushed down, but that's a small item. My wife liked our pillow top bed though I found it somewhat soft. Again, not a big issue. Otherwise, our son was really impressed on the improvement from Mountain House area, though daughter would have preferred to be closer to main Mall. Thanks so much for a delightful property.

  We love Sunriver and all it has to offer and plan to return every year. This was our 2nd stay in an Aquila Condo. #16 is perfect for our needs and we felt cozy and at home. The location is great - close to the river and bike trails but not too close to the Mall. We will rent this one again, for sure. A few things need attention in this condo, though. The condo could use a good spring cleaning. Lots of dust everywhere. The blinds, doors and furniture need to be dusted. Aslo,(this is important) the bed in the master is soft and lumpy. It's time for a new mattress of good-quality. Finally, it would be great to have a flat screen television, especially in the main living area. The sound quality on the television in that room is not good. The magament staff is wonderful and overall I rate our stay an A+!
