  We go to Sunriver several times a year and rent homes from private parties as well as all the other resort properties over the last 25 years. This was the first time we went for the Christmas holiday and we had so much fun I'm sure we'll be doing it again. This is also my first experience with Discover Sunriver and they were top-notch. A pleasure to deal with.
  
  The home was perfect for our family of 6, there is plenty of space for the kids upstairs and the master being downstairs gave mom & dad some privacy. The home is warm and cozy, new carpets all throughout, lots of tv's and reading areas for people to unwind after a hard day of skiing. I would definitely rent this home again, its a very simple layout but whoever designed the home did a great job. It seems much bigger than it is because of the layout.

  We come to Sunriver every year and love the week. The only downside is SHARC. The space is very large and clearly set up to handle lots of people. So why is the pool and the lazy river so small? If the weather is nice, it's crazy packed and not sufficiently large enough to handle everyone who wants to get in the water. I'm assuming budget was the issue in not making a large water space but it needs to be seriously expanded.

  The kids were excited to check out the warming/spraying toilets and the electric garbage can. There were plenty of bikes for our ride into town. We even built a snow cave that could fit 4 people in the back yard. We hardly had time to even use the hot tub which I thought would be the main attraction. The maveriks was fun, but a little disappointing. The flowmaster was only open 1 day for a 2 hour block of time because of private groups reserving it. (and it was very expensive to try). The rockwall was not useable either because we were told the harnesses were only available for check-out in the summer months. We still had fun just swimming.

  The hot tub didn't seem to get hot enough. And a cheat sheet for operating the TV/Cable system would have been helpful. Otherwise, everything else was perfect.

  The house was in great shape. It was better equiped than any vaca rental I've ever been in. Perfect for a group of guys who need convienience for skiing and a good place to unwind after a day at Mt Bachelor.

  We had a great stay at this house, it has a fantastic location, perfectly tucked away cul-de-sac for our 4 and 6 yr-old kids to bike around, close biking distance to things that matter to us: pool, fort rock park, and mavericks. It's a perfectly fine place. Nothing fancy, but not at all dumpy, and very clean. Some things that need improvement: The dishwasher top rack needs replacing, it constantly comes off its track. we had the prop. mgmt. company come out the first time it happened, which they did promptly. But it was a temporary fix, so then we just figured out how to fix it ourselves(nearly every time we loaded or unloaded the thing). It needs to be fixed permanently. Also, the stove top burners didn't quite fit perfectly into their spots, so they were all tilted, no matter how much adjustment we did to them. These need to be fixed or replaced. The king sized bed on the main level is really soft and saggy, so it needs a much firmer mattress, the queen on the upstairs level is fine, so we ended up moving up there for our stay.
  All of these were minor annoyances that didn't add up to a bad stay, in fact we had a wonderful stay, but it would be made even more wonderful next time if these issues were resolved.
  One more note: the toilets are equipped with bidets and seat warmers--not something you see every day.

  This is the second time we've stayed at Sunriver (in the same house, too). You can't beat the location to Mt Bachelor. Also, there are tons of amenities and the house was very well stocked. We couldn't have found a hotel for eight people with the same space and for the same amount.

  We encountered a few items in the house that were in need of attention or were bothersome. This included: flies (1 or 2 each day for a total of 4 - 5 for the 6 days we were there), extra pillows but no pillow cases, broken glass on the kitchen and living room floors that we continued to find small pieces of throughout the week. Also, the TV/VCR enclosure gets REALLY hot when the fireplace is on so we had to turn it on and off throughout our stay. The VCR/DVD player was so hot you couldn't touch it. We ended up going home two days early because of the weather. We were there to ski and Bachelor shut down most of the lifts because of high winds.
